Pokemon Trainer Cosplay Easy Pokemon Go Spark
There are so many Pokémon games and so many great trainers. Though Ash and Misty are some of the most popular on account of the anime, the many playable and non-playable trainers like Hilda, N, and Lillie featured on the Gameboy, Nintendo DS, and beyond are pretty awesome too.
Anime style tends to have hairstyles and outfits that seem impossible to translate into real life, but cosplayers are so creative at nailing the exact looks and spirits of the characters. Seriously, some of these guys and gals have gone to extreme lengths to pull off the perfect look! Here are ten of the best Pokemon trainers the cosplay world has to offer.
10 Hilda
Kallimoon has handmade a fantastic cosplay of Hilda (Touko in the Japanese version) from Pokémon Black and White. The trainer grew up in Nuvema Town with her best friends Bianca and Cheren and sets out to be a master of the Unova region.
This cosplayer has done a lot of great characters, but this one is definitely one of her best. She's nailed every detailed from the curly hair to the ripped jeans to the red boot laces. She even captures the energy of the character. She's truly brought to life this popular trainer of the franchise!
9 N
King_ofcosplay brings us another handmade cosplay of N aka Natural Harmonia Gropius from Pokémon Black and White and Black and White 2. This train is a member of Team Plasma and has one of the most unusual backstories a trainer can have. This cosplayer has a bunch of great material and he was very passionate about this character. An unnatural-colored wig is hard to pull of, but this cosplayer nails it especially with the detail of colored eyebrows.
8 Rosa
Umi-Kani is a Chilean cosplayer who has done a spectacular version of Rosa (Mei in the Japanese version) fromPokémon Black and White 2. This trainer grew up in Aspertia City and is a big rival with her childhood friend Hugh. This cosplay is very crisp and even includes a little Tepig!
The hair is tough to pull off but Umi-Kani managed to shape the wig to mimic the character's hairstyle exactly! The contacts look dazzling and the make-up flawless. A great rendition of this trainer!
7 Calem
Archangel Michail models this amazing cosplay of Calem (Calme in the Japanese version) fromPokémon X and Y. His life-sized Flabebe and photography were done by Russian cosplayer Trisha. This little Pokemon was made out of Polymer clay and looks so lifelike and adorable!
This character moved to Vaniville Town in the game but managed to make friends with Serena, Tierno, Trevor, and Shauna, and this cosplayer managed to capture the whimsical nature of the Pokemon world in this perfect cosplay!
6 Lass
KythanaCosplay, a Dutch cosplayer, with photography by Chastten brings us this cute cosplay of Lass (Miniskirt in the Japanese version) fromPokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
This simple but adorable cosplay is well-made. These types of trainer love cute Pokemon like Pidgey and Oddish, and with the school-girl outfit and lots of smiles, it isn't hard to see why. This is an NPC character that has appeared across many Pokémon games since Generation I, but they need some cosplay love, too!
5 Dawn
AnyaPanda is a perfect Dawn (Hikari in the Japanese version) from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. This character appears both in the games and the anime, and she is very spunky and has a complex costume with a lot of details. This cosplayer got the design on the beanie and the hairbands spot on and is even holding a Piplup to boot!
This cosplayer was inspired to make this cosplay because of the Piplup plush. The wig looks fabulous, especially with the matching eyebrows and the cosplayer is posing in character!
4 May
SunsetDragon made and modeled this cosplay of May (Haruka in the Japanese Version) from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire with photography by Yenra Photography. She even used her multi-talented artist skills to make a life-sized Torchic to go with it! He even has real feathers!
Plushies are great editions to a costume, but this little guy is next level! May is from the Johto region but she moves to the Hoenn region. She has a tricky bow that's a key part of the trainer's costume, but the cosplayer managed to pull it off beautifully!
3 Green
WinRockbell managed to conquer the gravity-defying hair of Green (Blue in Japanese version and Leaf in Let's Go Eevee and Let's Go Pikachu!) from Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. Green travels all across the Kanto region in search of Pokémon.
This cosplayer pulls off her sassy personality, and that hat and miniskirt are just kawaii! She even has a little Squirtle with her, even though he seems to be a little squished. He must have had a tiring day battling.
2 Lillie
Kitsune Raposa presents Lillie (Lilie in the Japanese version) from Pokémon Sun and Moon with photography by Val Koslovski. She even has Nebby edited in to the picture with her!
She's a very mysterious character who accompanies the main character throughout the game throughout the world, and this Brazilian cosplayer managed to capture her nature with this beautiful cosplay. Her wig and that large-brimmed hat look perfect. Long hair and large headpieces can be very hard to pull off!
1 Serena
Ver1sa brings us this stunning cosplay of Serena from Pokémon X and Y. Serena also grew up in Vaniville with Calem, Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna. This Russian cosplayer did such an amazing job. She looks exactly like the character!
She handmade a cosplay that looks straight out of the video game with the exact sunglasses, a red pleated skirt, and that adorable hat. She's even struck a pose that captures the essence of the character in this striking shot holding a Pokéball.
